SimpleX Bot Rust Template
A starting point for developing SimpleX Chat bots with Rust, using the simploxide_client crate.
Requirements
You must have these packages installed on your environment for running the bot:
- cargo (development and building for production)
- simplex-chat cli
Bot address issue
The first time you run the bot, it's address will be printed out in the console, copy and then paste it in bot_address in your bot_config.toml for local development. Then when you deploy it for production, do the same, but paste the addess in bot_config.prod.toml.
This is for preventing the bot address to be set and removed each time the bot runs.
Run it locally
cargo run
Deploy for production
Check deploy.sh and deploy.env.example.
Chat's DB
Check db, if you need to move the DB, stop the bot and move those files, don't try to use them in more than one instance of the bot running.
